About this Position

Meow Wolf Santa Fe is looking for a Food & Beverage Director to oversee all F&B operations. The ideal candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage inventory, staff and budgets. They will ensure that operational standards are met in regards to sanitation codes and laws, alcohol regulations and laws, food/beverage storage, and loss prevention.

Job Description

The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for ensuring the highest level of member service by overseeing all aspects of service and service staff during operating hours, while working in a clean and safe environment.The Food & Beverage Director is ultimately responsible for all food & beverage operations on a daily basis; essentially being the “face of” these operations with a hands-on approach and an understanding that full “on-the-floor” member and staff engagement is critical. This senior level position works closely with and reports to the General Manager.

Job Requirements

 

  • 5 years management experience required
  • Proven food and beverage management experience
  • Previous bar management experience
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organizational skills
  • Experience supervising others and leading a team
  • Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
  • Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
  • Guest-oriented and service-minded
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, POS)

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the food and beverage program and establish day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
  • Create beverage menu, taste standards and pricing for bar and cafe
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships
  • Evaluate and improve upon existing food and beverage concessions
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Maintain Alcohol & Gaming standards, comply with all regulations and laws
  • Recruit, hire, train, manage and evaluate staff
  • Establish scheduling system
  • Evaluate and recommend POS and inventory tracking system
  • Analyze, forecast, monitor and control the labor and supply costs
  • Identify customers needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
  • Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures
  • Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
  • Provide a two way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
  • Work with Events team to design, price, and staff special events, private rentals
  • Work with Groups Sales Manager to create group deals
